I really, really need to figure out where I put the power cord for my scanner. Digital camera ‘scanning’ just really isn’t the same..

I tried my hand at old-school inking and I realized I completely suck. I tried to ctrl + Z the paper! Sadly I am nothing without my layers and undo.

I can’t help myself, I love me some pokeymans. Each time a new one comes out I find the need to compulsively play through it.

Long ago, in a land far far away, Jessica wrote up a parody of CardCaptor Sakura using my characters/friends characters that was absolutely hilarious. I got on a nostalgia kick and drew her a picture for xmas with the CCY crew x) And I haven’t actually drawn anything with pencil in so long I think I almost forgot how. I then had to struggle to find my old inking pens and was amazed they still had life in them. I soon realized why I never went back to analog inking… there is no Ctrl + Z! You have to stay committed to your inking mistakes and make them work somehow. As soon as I scanned this I couldn’t help but fix some of the inking mistakes.. but I left some in tact (like the super thick arm line, that was an oops :B)

Oops, haven’t updated in a month I have actually been working on some projects here and there.. and some doodles here and there but still kind of art slumpy.

Part of what I’m working on is designing stuff for my wedding, planning the theme/colors/invites etc. Right now I’m into lotuses, I want a lotus type of motif. I found some really cool lotus origami on google and had to try it out myself. Source here.

I got carried away and bought a whole bunch of paper for it.  I’m gunna try to do all sizes and maybe use them as some kind of decoration at the wedding.

Last month a Nick and Kit visited! It was really awesome, and I took them all over the place and probably did more stuff in that week than I’ve done since I moved out here, haha. Oh and Jessica might be coming next month and I’m excited about that =) I haven’t seen her in awhile either. And then my brother will be coming to visit on the first! Yay~! Happy times to be hanging out with friends and family.

My cousin Jena got me this awesome hat for my bday a couple weeks ago =) Life is good right now!

The other week I randomly got into making icons because I couldn’t find the icon I wanted… I’ve only made a few so far but I figured I might as well share them.

Note: Just to be clear, I didn’t “draw” any of these, the Ribon manga was a photograph of the magazine, the NiGHTS icon was taken from screenshot, the Genesis controller was taken from a photo, the Saturn logo I recreated in Illustrator, the Dreamcast swirl I also did in illustrator, and the Dreamcast console I stole from a photo on google images (I just made it look glossy :B)

Finally finished coloring this! I seriously spent the past week working on it a few hours at a time, this is why I don’t color things! It takes me way too damn long. x_x; Years ago I used to have the patience to sit there and color stuff into the wee hours of the morning, but I lose interest in what I’m doing half the time now when I try to spend any extended amount of time on something.
